How to Choose a Tipper Hydraulic Kit
- Vehicle and body: truck/trailer, volume (m³), empty–laden weight
- Lift type: front-end or underbody; max angle
- Gearbox / PTO: make, ratio, rotation, torque
- Pump flow vs target tipping time
- Working pressure and relief-valve setting
- Oil-tank volume (heat margin)
- Duty profile: short-cycle construction work or occasional use
Cheap but mismatched parts come back as slow tipping, overheating, PTO wear and leaks.
Installation and Safety
- Engage the PTO with the vehicle stationary, per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Bleed the system on first run; no suction leaks.
- Set the bypass to the correct pressure; protect the body at the upper limit with a mechanical stop.
- Keep hoses away from abrasion and heat.
- Do not work under a raised body.
